The Man in Black Fled Across the Desert and vysethebold Followed

Salutations you damn dirty apes, I am vysethebold, fine purveyor of tales in any form whether they be in video game, film, comic, lyrical, or literary format.  I’m on the constant lookout for something new and entertaining in all forms media.  I scour all of obscurity for the best of stories, and many times I enjoy the terrible ones just as well.  My theory is that the only truly terrible forms of entertainment are mediocre boredom fountains many of which may come in the form of easy listening radio stations or romantic comedies.  The entertainment piece in question need not be a carefully perfect composed spectacle, but it needs to be unique and have character.  These qualities are what fascinate me in media.

At my tenure here, I will mostly be talking about, but not limited to, all things having to do with video gaming in a series I call "Loot 'n' Lore."  Games are a big part of why I like stories to begin with and I research them constantly in my spare time.  I have a great love of accessories to use with games, as I’m always looking for a great new way to experience the treasures I find.  I’m also fascinated by import games from any country and always looking for something strange and unusual.

In my travels around this series of tubes, I’ve written a few pieces for www.siliconera.com , a great resource for news for Japanese games in English.   In addition to a few reviews, the articles I’m most proud to have written are composed in a documentary style that I hope to continue writing in.  I also have been a long time contributor, writer, mod, and editor of Kurt Kalata’s fantastic website www.hardcoregaming101.net , one of the best resources for information on obscure games and whole series on the internet.  I’ve recently published reviews of the translated doujin game Recettear (released on Steam), Cladun (released on PSN for PSP), and the wonderful ZHP: The Unlosing Ranger vs DarkDeath Evilman (released for PSP on UMD and PSN).
